Natures first aid! Plantain salve is a natural antibiotic ointment which is an effective remedy for insect bites, rashes, bruises ad cuts. Its antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties help speeding up wound healing, and it works well for itching and pain associated with skin problems. I grow plantain in my medicinal garden and sun infuse the plant material. The sun infusion is worked into a salve with some bees wax.
